1. Power Display : Output display in Ws or f-stop
To change power display from f-stop to Ws or vice versa, press 1/2 up and down buttons for a couple of seconds at the same time.
7. 1/2 up and down
Flash output goes up and down by 1/2 f-stop from 5.61 f-stop to full or 10Ws to full. Press up and down button for 3 seconds at the same time, then power display will change from f-stop to Ws or vice versa.
2. Alarm : audible alarm works as charging indicator
Alarm on : alarm beeps while charging and stops beeping when fully charged
Alarm off : no beeping while charging
8. 1/10 up and down
Flash output goes up and down by 1/10 f-stop form 5.61 f-stop to full or 10Ws to full. Press up and down button for 3 seconds at the same time, then power display will show the number of trigger.
3. Slave : light sensor
Slave on : synchro by light sensor as well as synchro cord
Slave off : synchro by synchro cord only
9. Slide volume for modeling lamp
To control with this slider, "MODEL" on the side control panel should be set at off mode (no LED). From off to full modeling lamp will go up and down continuously.
4. Model : 3 modes for modeling lamp control
- Press Model button once (red LED/Full mode): modeling lamp lights up to full
- Press Model button twice (green LED/Track mode): modeling lamps tracks with flash output
- Press Model button three times (no LED/Off mode): modeling lamp is controlled by slider at the back panel.
10. Remote control switch
Radio slave function is optional. When this switch is on, one can trigger from radio slave transmitter.
5. Test : flash trigger
Red LED indicates ready to trigger I.e. fully charged and no LED indicates not ready i.e. charging.
11. Remote control receiver channel
Set this channel matching with a transmitter.
4 channels : #1 down while #2up, #1up while #2up, both down and both up
6. Over Heat : audible and visible alarm for over heat
When circuit boards are over heated, this indicator turns on and beeps. Modeling lamp will go off and whole system stops functioning except cooling fan. When cooled, operation restarts automatically.
12. Remote control transmitter
The trigger works up to 20m and its frequency is 433 MHz.
Set a channel matching with the receiver on the flash body.
4 channels : #1 down while #2up, #1up while #2up, both down and both up

1. First check if all the switches are off.
2. Turn on the power switch. 5.61 f-stop will appear on the power display window. The flash power is set at the minimum 5.61 f-stop initially. To change power display f-stop to Ws, press 1/2 up and down buttons for 3 seconds at the same time. 5.61 f-stop will be converted to 10Ws.
3. All operation switches are one-touch systems. ALARM, SLAVE and MODEL are off initially. One may turn them on or leave them as per his needs.
4. "MODEL" button offers 3 different modes; full, off, proportional.
5. 300W modeling lamp is installed initially. When replace it to higher power, make sure fuse is also replaced to higher AF.
6. Increase or decrease flash power with 1/2 and 1/10 up and down buttons. When flash power is decreased, the flash will be triggered automatically to dump excess power.
7. When overheated, OVER H. LED will turn on and alarm beeps. Turn off the unit for cooling for about 10 minutes and turn it on again.
8. To check the number of triggers, press 1/10 up and down bottons at the same time for 3 seconds. he number will appear on the digital display screen.
9. To use a remote control, turn on the switch first and set a channel both receiver and transmitter. Press a button on the transmitter for trigger. To replace a battery in the transmitter, open the transmitter case by screwing up bolts. 12V/23A battery is to be used.
10. To use an umbrella, mount a standard reflector ALRD114 first and insert an umbrella passing through reflector hole and two holes in the umbrella mount. After use, cool down the flash unit as well as umbrella. Do not pull out the umbrella before cooling.
11. To use a softbox, assemble the softbox first and place it onto the flash. Fit the claws of the adaptor into the holes in the flash front and then rotate the softbox clockwise until clicking sound. To detach the softbox, make sure the unit is cool enough to touch. Press a locking button with one hand and rotate the softbox anti clockwise with the other hand and pull it out.
